New quarter, same result. The Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott once again find themselves near the top of the NFL’s merchandise sales list.
In their rookie season, Prescott and Elliott finished first and second in NFL sales among all players. Following that impressive feat, the two Cowboys finished second and fourth respectively this season.
The placement is actually a bit of a drop for the Cowboys QB, as he finished first over the last two quarters until being edged out by Patriots’ QB Tom Brady this quarter.
In jersey sales alone, Prescott finished third and Elliott finished fifth among the league.
Even though the Cowboys’ sophomores are selling merch like hot cakes, they still have work to do to duplicate any modicum of Brady’s on-field success. The team finished the season at 9-7 in 2017 and on the outside of the playoffs.
With the 2018 season on the horizon, the Cowboys plan to bring in a lot more wins to not repeat what happened next year.
That will bring in a lot more dollar signs for Prescott and Elliott.
