Cowboys players Ezekiel Elliott, Jaylon Smith, Taco Charlton, Anthony Brown and Kavon Frazier made the trip to Mexico this weekend to participate in a youth football camp organized by the National Fantasy Football Convention.
The NFFC, which held its inaugural convention last summer in Dallas, is working to expand its brand by partnering with Estrellas del Futuro and the Mexican government on a three-year agreement.
"It's no secret that football is a growing around the world and we're thrilled to play a part in spreading the game to our friends south of the border," said NFFC CEO Andy Alberth. "We take immense pride in making the yearly convention a Disneyland for football fans and can't think of a better way to bring that same joy to kids that may not normally get the best exposure to our new pastime."
The plan is to host two camps in Mexico in 2018 and four more in 2019.
The NFFC will be holding its second fantasy convention at Fair Park July 13-15. Elliott, Jason Witten, Michael Irvin, DeMarcus Lawrence, Johnny Manziel, Kareem Hunt, LeSean McCoy and Melvin Gordon are expected to attend.
